This painting started the series and I view her as the muse of my work. As a newly graduated artist I had to take a hard look into myself and decide what it is I want to create in this world. Without much thought this woman/ plant-being came rushing to my mind. It was a moment where I could distinctly say, “I found it!”
This work was the true start of what would become a treasure trove of ideas, inspiration, and a wonderful foundation for my future work.
